Emission-free heavy transport: Zepp.solutions unveils hydrogen-electric truck
A significant step forward for emission-free heavy transport! Buccaneer community member zepp.solutions unveiled their latest innovation at the IAA exhibition in Hannover this week: the zepp.europa H2 Fuel Cell Truck. This 40-tonne hydrogen-electric truck combines the performance of diesel vehicles with the advantages of emission-free transport.
The zepp.europa truck boasts a range of over 700 km, thanks to its hydrogen storage capacity of 58.8 kg at 350 bar, and comes fully equipped with a sleeper cab. It can tow standard 45ft containers on a regular semi-trailer without requiring any modifications to the vehicle configuration. This ensures a practical and readily deployable solution for long-distance transport—without CO2 emissions.
Emission-Free Transport Without Compromise
Zepp.europa trucks facilitate the shift to emission-free transport without sacrificing performance. They offer the same operational benefits as diesel trucks, minus the greenhouse gas emissions. Zepp.solutions powers these trucks advanced X150 hydrogen fuel cell system, a robust solution whose smaller 50kW variant has been successfully used in the Rotterdam water taxi and a ground power unit for aircraft at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
Now Available for Order
Zepp.solutions has announced that the zepp.europa trucks are now available for purchase. Interested parties can connect with zepp’s team at the IAA exhibition or through their contact channels to explore the technology and discuss ordering options.
Buccaneer Delft is incredibly proud of this milestone. Not only has zepp.solutions launched this innovative and sustainable vehicle, helping to reduce pollution in the transport sector. Still, they have also secured two early adopters: Vos Transport Group and the Inland Terminals Group. These companies demonstrated their trust in the technology by committing to purchase the trucks early in development.
