Buccaneer Reefy announced that it raised € 350k from UNIIQ. With this funding Reefy can set-up two pilot projects, one in the Netherlands and one in Mexico.
Reefy is an innovative start-up that strives to rewild the ocean and to protect the people in the face of climate change with nature-based solutions. They have developed the first modular artificial reef that is stable enough to protect coasts from storms, while providing a habitat complexity to boost marine biodiversity. Thanks to this funding Reefy can set-up two pilots projects to test their technique in a real-life environment. In January they will start in Rotterdam and later that year they will also start a pilot project in Mexico.
