What is Square Floating City?
Square Floating City develops fully functional, modular floating city blocks that can scale up to a 1 km² floating city, housing 35,000 people. These cities are designed to be built faster and more affordably than traditional land reclamation—delivered in just five to six years.

For this larger scale floating solution, the first step is to showcase the technology in a pilot project, solving the housing and other urban needs of a host city.
Some elements of Square Floating City’s technology are currently patent-pending, while others are undergoing technology qualification by a classification society. This ensures they meet the highest safety and sustainability standards.
