We want to congratulate FLASC and their team on winning the first edition of the NL Startup Competition in the Energy Transition category. During the exciting final at Upstream, two Buccaneers (FLASC & Tree Composites) competed with Avoxt and iON-Energy to win this prestigious prize and a € 10.000,- cheque.
The finalist had prepared a 3-minute pitch to convince the expert jury of their solution. The jury judged them on both their pitch delivery and the solution’s potential impact.

The Buccaneer is very proud of both FLASC, Tree Composites, and the other competitors. It was inspiring to see the motivation and eagerness which you all had. We need this kind of passion to help us solve the difficult puzzle of the energy transition.
The first NL Startup Competition was organized by Upstream, MT/Sprout, Golden Egg Check and Erasmus Enterprise, in collaboration with the Port of Rotterdam, the Municipality of Rotterdam, V.O. Patents & Trademarks, Rabobank and Erasmus University Rotterdam. It aims to boost the most promising innovations developed in four categories: Social, Digital, Energy Transition and Circular/Sustainable.
