Delft Verbindt brings 300+ local entrepreneurs together at Buccaneer Delft
On June 8, Buccaneer Delft hosted the Delft Verbindt summer BBQ. With over 300 local entrepreneurs attending, the event focused on connection, exchange, and new collaborations.
Entrepreneurs from across Delft gathered on the Buccaneer courtyard — from retail and hospitality to technical companies — all in an informal setting designed to bring people together.
The event started with an opening by Kirsten Ruiter, representing Buccaneer Delft. She highlighted the role of the location as a place where entrepreneurs meet, collaborate and connect with innovation.
The theme “The robots are coming” fitted naturally with the activities at Buccaneer. Two startups from the community — ParaPy and Next Ocean — took the stage to share how automation and technology are already shaping their work.
Their message was clear: Automation does not have to start big. It often begins with improving one repetitive task — creating space for creativity and innovation.
For Buccaneer Delft, moments like this highlight the essence of the location: bringing people together. From first conversations… to future collaboration.
