The 3rd Offshore Wind Innovation Challenge

Would you like to think together with various offshore wind energy industry companies towards an innovative inventions? That is the goal of The 3rd Offshore Wind Innovation Challenge for which you can sign up until 17th of October!

The challenge is open for ideas and first concepts from students, engineers, start-ups and small-medium enterprises. There are 3 different challenges to solve:

  1. Climate neutral shipping – the challenge of TKI Wind op Zee and Maritiem Nederland aims to generate concepts for CO2 neutral shipping for offshore wind in the area of the CTVs or SOVs.
  2. Optimize Pressure Control to reduce noise emissions at seaVan Oord‘s challenge is to reduce noise emissions at sea during offshore piling by optimizing the pressure control of an air bubble screen, which is both robust and cost-effective.
  3. Design a sustainable construction for oyster populations in offshore wind farms – The challenge of the Stichting Noordzee and Natuur & Milieu, is to improve marine life by introducing oysters that reproduce and contribute to the development of new reefs.

The winners of the competition will have access to expert coaching, possible launching customer and publicity support.
