Energy Talks&Drinks – Grassroot technologies: Winners of TU Delft Ideation Contest, undead engineering & precision dredging

7 November 2019 @ 17:30 - 19:00

Do you want to know more about the future of electricity? November’s Energy Talks&Drinks is about future electrical energy systems.

Generating electricity using biomass
Pyropower strives to achieve clean energy for everyone despite their nationality or even financial situation. This summer, they have won the TU Delft Ideation Contest with their new project EFESTO. Alessandro Simonelli and Thomas Merdassi from Pyropower will tell you more about the project during their presentation.

Low tech renewables
Undead Engineering provides designs that can be build anywhere in the world using local material, teaches and provides even a design space for kids and adults at the Undead Lab makerspace. During the talks Alexander Cordes from Undead Engineering will be discussing low cost locally built windturbines, recycled batteries, solar cookers and desalination.

Precision dredging
Toolbot offers a solution for the last mile dredging operations where spots are hard to reach, where underneath infrastructures have to be maintained or when conventional methods are oversized to actuate with precision. Marcus Seeliger from Toolbot Robotics will tell you more about unmanned technology for last mile dredging.
